elfilming is built to be a safe and meaningful space for cinematic conversation. To ensure its focus, we have a unique approach to our chat system.

Can Anyone Chat with Anyone?​

The answer is No.

For a Chat to Start​

To start a chat on elfilming, both users must be connected through their Character Profiles.

If two users have not yet established a connection (either via the Match Algorithm or by using a Passphrase), they cannot send direct messages to each other.

Why Is This System in Place?​

Our chat system is designed around several core principles:

  • Privacy: No one can send unsolicited messages to your Character Profile.
  • Safety: Prevents spam and unwanted interactions.
  • Meaningful Interactions: Ensures that every conversation you have on elfilming starts from a place of shared interest or mutual trust.
  • Controlled Identity Sharing: You only share your real identity and message people you've successfully connected with.

We believe that by limiting chat to connected users, we create a more respectful and engaging environment for everyone.
