elfilming is built from the ground up to be a social experience. To unlock its full potential, users must create an account.

Why Do I Need an Account?​

While anyone can browse elfilming, there are clear benefits to having an account.

As a Guest (Not Logged In)​

You can still enjoy:

  • Browsing content: Read Threads and and scroll through posts.
  • Viewing public discussions: See what others are talking about.
  • Exploring our movie database: Browse reviews.

As a Member (Logged In)​

Creating an account unlocks the full social experience, allowing you to:

  • Interact with posts: Like, reply, and engage.
  • Chat with other users: Start conversations (once connected).
  • Post threads: Share your thoughts and start your own discussions.
  • Write reviews: Contribute to our community-driven movie ratings.
  • Connect with other profiles: Build your movie tribe.

Our Unique Identity System​

elfilming features a Dual Profile System, designed to combine creative freedom with platform authenticity and security.

Step 1: Create Your Character Profile (Anonymous Identity)​

During onboarding, you'll first be asked to create a Character Profile. This is your public persona.

  • Choose your character: Pick your favorite movie character from our library or build your own.
  • Select an image: Pick a character image that represents you.
  • Anonymous Identity: This is the name other users will see on the platform. Your real identity remains hidden until you choose to reveal it.
  • Record Your Activity: All your public interactions, posts, and reviews are tied to your character profile.

Step 2: Complete Your Real Profile (Private Identity)​

After setting up your character, you'll complete your Real Profile.

  • Real Name & Real Profile Picture: Provide your authentic personal details.
  • Privacy First: Your Real Profile is private and hidden from other users.
  • Internal Use: We use this information for account verification, personal management, and platform security.
